1. Do you like Hot Chocolate or Egg Nog? I enjoy both but I think I like Egg Nog more...too bad I have a milk allergy...but Lactaid makes a very yummy egg nog that is not too bad on my tummy.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just put them under the tree? Well, since I have never believed in Santa...I do the wrapping...though I just realized for the second time that my husband LOVES wrapping gifts and I should take advantage of that desire of his.
3. Colored or white lights on tree/house? I prefer colored lights but love lights in general (tree).
4. Do you hang mistletoe? No - who needs mistletoe?
5. When do you put up your decorations? Whenever I get them up...hopefully before Christmas
6. What is your favorite holiday dish? Mashed potatoes and gravy with turkey on the side.
7. What is your favorite holiday memory from your childhood? When Mom told me we weren't having Christmas one year and yet when I woke up Christmas morning I saw more gifts under that tree than ever before in my young life. (The ward provided Christmas for us and totally surprised my parents).
8. Do you open a gift on Christmas eve? No? Well, for the last four years we've never been home on Christmas...so, I may have opened a gift...but in my ideal life I think all gifts should be opened on Christmas day.
9. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? This year we decorated my in-laws tree...Cream and Maroon
10. Snow! Love it or dread it? LOVE it! But I like Virginia's idea of closing everything so that I don't have to drive in the snow. I HATE driving in the snow.
11. Do you remember your favorite gift? No, I am not a big gift person so I don't recall any gift that was my favorite.
12. What is the most important thing about the holidays for you? Being with my family.
13. What is your favorite holiday dessert? When I was younger it was candy canes and now...I don't think I have a favorite.
14. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Listening to Christmas music, Having family parties, Looking at Christmas lights whether driving or visiting Temple Square, AND singing Christmas carols.
15. What tops your tree? Nothing
16. Which do you prefer: giving or receiving? ummm...neither
17. What is your favorite Christmas song? Almost all of them!!
18. Candy canes? YES
19. Do you feel Christmas is too commercialized? Not in my life, but as a general observation, sure, why not?
20. Favorite Christmas movie? I like most of them except It's A Wonderful Life...I think a favorite has to be A White Christmas.
21. Can you ice skate? Yep...though it takes a while to warm up...since I do it once every few years.
