I am a creative person who has more projects than time to do them. I am married to a real gentleman. He always opens all doors for me and supports me in all I choose to do. I currently am not working though I've worked in the public schools as a speech therapist for five years. I love to read, paint, sew, cook and scrapbook. I'd like to learn how to digitally scrapbook but am not ambitious enough to figure it out on my own. I am an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and love to share my beliefs with anyone. Thanks for getting to know a little bit about ME!!
Last Friday night we held a Kung Fu Panda Night. SM hadn't seen the movie yet and my sister wanted to watch SM as he watched the movie. She knew he'd enjoy the movie and laugh through the majority of it...and he did.
We decided if we were going to watch a movie that had an Asian theme, then we would have Asian food.
My sister made dumplings. After living in Hawaii for two years with roommates from various Asian countries, she's learned some fun meals. This was her first time doing it all by herself...and the dumplings were good. My mom made stir-fry and I made a peanut sauce. I also made sushi. We had a lot of food for only five of us. We loved it...yum, yum!
SM had his mouth full for this picture. He was very hungry by the time we ate and didn't want to stop eating to smile for a pictures.
Here's my mom cooking up veggies for the stir-fry.
We had a very enjoyable evening. We recommend the movie and food to anyone who enjoys Asian themed evenings.
Hey - it's Joy Fellingham...remember me? Well, I'm Joy Layton now, but I've been "lurking" on your blog for a while, and I thought I'd let you know how much I enjoy your posts and your photos. I'm impressed with all the help you give your family and I love to see all your "projects"! Keep sharing. I still can't get used to seeing you with short hair. :) It's darling - you always have been beautiful! Happy Thanksgiving!
